My status bar at the bottom of my browser window is no longer there. I wonder why too. My computer seems to be so messed up it's a wonder I haven't thrown it out the window yet. The taskbar is there but not the part that has the bar show you when a page finishes downloading. i use IE 7.

check in the View / Toolbar- maybe it got unclicked some how -
look for status bar and check mark it.
