Confused Corrupted Section? ROOTKIT??

Yesterday I ran AVG (as I do every day) and it found:
Corrupted Section Win 32K.SYS [text] Eng .......
Corrupted Section Win 32K.SYS[text XLA .........
The ENG thing was found twice and the XLA seven times.

AVG told me to hit File and it showed
<unknown>
Object is hidden by a kootkit technique (which is often used by a malicious software). Do you really want to remove it?

I told it that I really wanted to remove it and AVG told me and asked me all sorts of things I'd never heard of and did not understand.
Yikes ........ am I OK?
