Red face Arrows? Now what?

Suddenly this afternoon the much used, circled arrows on the top right of this screen "died" . They appear to be turned off. Any suggestions about what I can do?
Thanks

I think we need more information..

Mac -Windows?
Is this on the computer main screen or a web browser?
If web browser which one ?
Safari?
Internet explorer
Firefox
other?

I really don't know of any circled arrows on my system..

All I can suggest for now, is try a reboot, often that will fix odd things that change.

Have you tried right-clicking while the cursor is at the top of the screen (near the toolbar area)? You should get "navigation toolbar" and "menu bar" in the dropdown box. I think that might help. I'm not really computer savvy so if that doesn't help Jo can probably help you better than I can!

This is a little HP laptop, Windows 7, IE, nothing new or exciting.
A bit after I wrote this question the arrows (they even call themselves "arrow" if I move the browser over them without clicking).
But everything "up there" - the top of the screen is still very different.
Maybe you guessed - change is very difficult for me.
Again - thanks.

Here is the troubleshooting page for windows IE-
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/i...shoot-problems

I'm not sure what arrows on the upper right you are referring to..
My IE has the back and forth page arrows on the upper left..

There is a How to reset IE in that link, but I think you might lose your passwords if you do that.
