Unhappy kaspersky problem

This morning I was having some glitches on my computer...slow to respond but what was different was when I would go from my usual site to site the previous page that I was at like my yahoo email account would appear for a second then go to my favorite choice. weird hope that makes sense.
I figured I had picked up some virus as I had just visited the drudge report site. So I attempted to run a quick scan and clicked on the link quick scan then the entire program went away. I can't open the the link to see any scanning in place and the icon for it in my tool bar at bottom right on my pc...is gone completely. Kaspersky is gone from what I can tell.
It is a mystery, jeff is asleep so I will wait for him, he is somewhat a computer guy.
Just thought I would put it out here. Thanks for your input/advice. We bought 2 years worth of protection some months ago so I know it is not that.

edited to add that the funny thing about the showing of the previous page has resolved it self. but kapersky is still gone!
and when I click on the control panel it still says it is there but when I click on the link it flashes running scan for a split second then goes away again.
So maybe it is unavailable while it runs its scan?
a light grey/ghost K shows up on the tool bar for a few seconds then disappears.

edited to add that jeff woke up and said to simply restart the computer. so we did that and is back again and running fine...sigh
glad that it is back and it did run the scan!

Hi bizi. It's good that you were able to get that sorted.
