Default Putting pictures on computer

I don't know how to put pictures on the computers. I would probably know but when my husband had a heart attack all attention went to him. Thank you

If you have pictures on a camera and want to copy them to your computer-

There should be a little cable or wire (usually comes with the digital camera) that plugs in to the USB port on computer and the other end plugs into the camera.
Plug those in and a pop up should come on screen asking if you want to copy , transfer , upload to computer.

You might find videos on youtube of how to do it also, or on the Microsoft or Apple website depending on what kind of computer /system you have..

Or give more info on what system you have and we can help find more for you- Windows 7/8/10 etc, Apple etc?
maybe even the camera brand/type.

It might help if you installed the image-processing software linked to your old camera onto your new computer.

Some cameras have a removable memory card. This can be put into your memory card slot (this is separate from the USB slot)
and you can read from it. You open My computer, and click on that
drive and you can download from it.

This replaces the need for software and USB cables. Most laptops today and newer desktops have these slots. Old computers may not.

Cool Smirk

Following on from MrsD's Post, even if your computer has no Memory Card Reader, an external USB one can be picked up for a few $$

Yes, Dave is right. We have one of those, that I used on our old desktop.

But our new one has the card slot. Our old computer was 10 yrs old.

All the posts here are assuming Doodle Bug means photos from cameras. If you mean, Doodle Bug copying pictures off the net?
That is a different process all together.

Copying from the net is:
1) right click on the photo
2) choose from the menu that appears... "copy image"
3) Then download it to your computer..."my pictures"
-- it is best to open some new folders in my pictures ahead of time if you need to--
4) name it after moving it with a title you can remember a keyword from

And you are set to go.

…Or then again, making asumptions stripped back to the basics, I always found Blu-Tac held photos around the bevel admirably

Dave.
