Default 'Quick Post' Problem

I cannot QP in the threads. I click on the little icon in the bottom right of the last post to try to type in the box below, but nothing happens. If I want to reply, I have to go to the bottom of the [page and click 'advanced' to post, but when I do the end result is in paragraph form- it will not post to my formatting, but at least I can reply. Any ideas?

Also wheen I clicl the 'reply' icon and then click the box (nothing happens) then when I go to 'advanced' to post- I get this message-- The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 10 characters. -- (this is supposed to be on a separate line, as I type in the reply box) I've now tried to edit to see if........... this will be on......... ..........three separate lines.(nope!)I also have no bold, itialicize, color, font, thread tools-subscribe, search this thread, etc- functions. Nothing will work on the replies......................I'm mystified!! (BTW- there are other sites with the same looking format & screens - BrainTalk1- at hastypastry.com, for example- and the problem only occurs here at NT. Other sites work fine)

I remember someone on old BT had this problem too but I don't remember if they figured it out or not...

did you try clearing the cache/cookies etc on your computer??

I used QR here and it is working for me so maybe others will try theirs and let us know if it works for them or not.

bob..have you allowed nt to do pop ups?

i'm on aol. i had to allow pop ups to use the quick post feature.

the 10 characters thing i believe is a defualt setting on the regular posting feature. ( reply to thread button ). ify ou use that button..you don't have to hit go advanced.

quick replies are for short short posts. like a line or 2. there is no formatting allowed unless you go to the advanced feature.

but...i'm sure a vbulliton savy member will hapen along who will have all the answers.

This is screwey. I'm browsing in AOL (instead of Firefox) and the
QR seems to be working (new line)
The formatting isn't (I hope) - all in paragraph form'
I'm able to start new lines and use bold, italicize * underline
as well as colors when using AOL- but the propblem seems to be somewhere in Firefox- but only for this site.
BT1 and CareCure (quadriplegics) use this same page and format
& I can iuse QR when I go there.
Screwey!! It jusr started happening the last time mt 'puter did a major crash. I've restored, but this seems to be a glitch.
