Although cardiac pacemakers are contraindicated for the pacer, however, the FDA has allowed them in some cases. DEFIBRILLATORS are INCOMPATIBLE with the pacer EVEN IF THEY ARE PART OF A _CARDIAC PACEMAKER_ *MUCH* more difficult to get exception for DEFIBRILLATOR.
