Default IE History Question

Hi,

I am reading up on the Internet and a question popped in my mind. In my readings it said that the history of IE browswer is stored in the Window's folder. I looked in the Window's folder for such a folder for History but didn't see it. Does anyone know what XP calls the History folder in it's Window's folder? Also, does the History files or should it be cleaned out of the Window's folder?
