Default Picasa

HELP!!

I have been using Google's Picasa for some time now and it has been a very helpful tool for my online antiques biz photos

last week I opened it and got one of those upgrade notifications and so I hit the button to upgrade to Picasa 2

BIG MISTAKE

I am sure Picasa 2 is excellent and with great new features
however
it no longer has the remarkable tool that Picasa 1 had whereby I could crop and get high resolution enlargements in one click! It was like magic to see signatures on glass etc appear so clearly.

I have been to the Picasa help forum and was told to try the zoom and export feature on Picasa 2 but it doesnt give even close to the clear resolution that my old version did

I have searched the web to find where I can download Picasa 1 again but cant find anything

can anyone here help please?

thanks
Cheri
