Default Question on IE7 & flash player?? {flash not working}

Have to use IE for online school site and I can't get the adobe flash player to work.

Win XP Home SP2

uninstalled IE7 installed IE 6 = same problems so put IE7 back on
dnloaded the flash player many times - removed it , added it
changed security settings many times
rebooted pc many times

gave up for now and decided to ask for any help or ideas here??

is your firewall blocking part of the adobe software?

i keep the adobe blocked and tend to forget that when i try and use it.

I tried it with the whole internet suite protection turned off also and no go with it that way either.

using a trial of Kaspersky at the moment.

put the school site on the pop up OK list

maybe put the flash/adobe on the pop up OK list>>>hmmm
I'll try that one.

Have you tried another browser like, say, Firefox or Opera, to view the webpage? This can help you whittle down if the problem is with IE or some Microsoft update to the OS.

Yes it works on FireFox but I can't use it for the school site, it only uses IE
