If you aren't using any this like that - probably aren't - you can disable that notice or pop up somehow I'm sure.

Hi Jo,
My computer also does not come alive after moving the mouse and the on switch has to be clicked for windows to come alive. I may not have hooked up my computer properly as it worked after someone else hooked it up the 1st time. befuddled2 |

In the BIOS you should be able to set up wake on mouse or wake on keyboard- or even at a certain time - my computer is set to wake up at 7:30 am every day.
But unless you are familiar with the Bios and settings there I would have someone that knows about it to help you set it up. If you have a new laptop with Vista? maybe something in the advanced settings in the control panel mouse or power control options will work to set wake up???

Thank you Jo,
I fell asleep last night with my puter on and when I got up today to move the mouse my screen came alive. I think that I may have fooled with connections last night before bedtime. Otherwise I would have asked my neighbor to help me with what you suggested. I've never hooked up a computer before and did this time kind of pure luck so it could have been a loose connection? I'm not sure. I'll let you know if it does the same thing again. befuddled2 |
