Default Eudora Mail Client

On Vista, does someone know where the mail boxes and .toc files are stored?

Using the properties and opening the program's location doesn't lead to finding the files I'm looking for.

Thanks!

What I need is something similar to what's depicted in the screenshot denoted between #5 & #6 on this page:

I've tried combing through similar file locations - for Qualcomm/Eudora - on the HD, but haven't had any success at finding where the mail boxes and .toc files are stored.

What I'm hoping to do is: import/place previously used mail boxes in the folder location - so that Eudora's "find" function can be utilized to access data more quickly than having to boot another computer (XP O/S) with Eudora still installed and the mailboxes remain intact

Last night, on a page I had visited, I read that, by default, the mail boxes are "hidden" on HD's running Vista.

Maybe, it could be easier to import the boxes into Outlook. Do you know if it has the option to run a "find" for specific messages? text? embedded in the mail boxes? (As you may detect, I've not used Outlook for sending/receiving mail.)

The second link you shared, still, is very helpful, Jo. Several people I know (and work with) prefer Qualcomm over MS Outlook, and when it went to open source, fretted about obtaining new releases in the future.

Took me long enough, but I finally found what I was searching for . In case someone else might have the same question, here's the mail box files location on Vista:

C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Qualcomm\Eudora

Where it states Username, replace with whatever account name is logged onto the 'puter and looking for the location. (Of course, I'm not going to post the name I use for mine .)

The easiest pathway to the location is entering it into a fresh browser where a URL is normally input. Doing so leads directly to the location opening.
