I'm wireless b/g at home. My printers (HP) are networked for shared printing.
I would like to have a unit that is capable of the following and I want to spend the least amount of money. Any extra/added features other than what I want it to do are of no concern to me. 1) Connect to my wireless Internet connection. 2) Recieve Email attachments (tiff or pdf format) 3) Print the attachment to my networked printer. 4) Be handheld. That's it. Any ideas would really be of assistance. Thanks.

I've an HP Jornada; the benefit in it is that it can "sync" and dock to either a laptop or desktop and make use of the sync or dock system's add-ons (printer, scanner, etc.).
I can - and I have - received attachments, and other files. The moment I "dock" or "sync," the files can be read, etc. Most likely, I spent way too much for my handheld HP, but I do like the keyboard (QWERTY, mirroring keyboards for PCs). The biggest drawback? For me, it was the cost at the time; I had to put out a huge chunk of change, but... never regretted it; the handheld I purchased also has a modem, so dial-up is also do-able. Battery-life (for the internal cell) is not great; the battery cannot be "parked" and with an expectation that it will sustain or last long. If you purchase a handheld, remove the battery when the handheld will be idle for a stretch of time, and always make sure to sync the files. I think I paid close to $1,000 for my handheld. It is a beautiful "supplement." Never lost a doc. or piece of mail using it. My first PDA pref., though, was Compaq IPAQ. I don't even know if those are still available. I was looking for something that also met my use-needs, as you are. The HP handheld had what I needed, but no virus protection installed. That's a drawback, too. (Maybe no longer, but at the time of my purchase.) If you can, before you buy, I'd do a side-by-side comparison and cost and warranty comparisons.

Thanks,
I'm looking at the Palm TX. It seems to fit the bill except that it won't print directly to my printers. I'll have to dock it first. I'm finding this to be the case unless I go with a full fledged handheld computer, which is costly. I'm aware of smart phones that can do all this but I don't want to pay a data plan to my service provider. I already have a Treo 650 (old, I know) I wish I could create macros that would download and print Emails from a specific sender. And since I use Gmail, that's not possible that I know of. I suppose I could use the TX and leave my messages on the server then downlaod a second time from my laptop. This would accomplish my goal of reading the Emails w/out having to be at my laptop all day. I'm just trying to streamline my buisness. Emails (orders) come all day in the form of either a tiff or a pdf file via toll free internet faxing service. We download and print, then order from our supplier. I've thought about having the Emails redirected directly to our supplier but not all orders go to them, and I don't want them getting orders without us proofing them etc. Effectively, I sit in front of my laptop all day downloading orders. There's got to be an easier way of doing this.
