Default Why can't I...

...change the font, size, color of my posts, or even add smilies? It was working fine, then all of a sudden nothing. I checked and supposedly the ability to do these things is turned "on", except for the HTML..How do I fix this? Thanks for any help/ideas!

go to:

UserCP

Edit Options

under Thread Display Options
Visable Display Elements-be sure the box is checked to Show Images

and....

Misc Options-change the Message Interface Options to
Enhanced Interface Full WYSIWYG Editing
(what you see is what you get )

click Save Changes.

that should do it...unless you changed your browser settings...then i'll try and help with that. or maybe jo.

my HTML is off too - maybe it is set that way for all of the forum.

Since the forum seems to be working fine for most everyone else, we usually suggest that you clear the cache in your browser and then close it and reopen it.
See if that helps.

how to do it

How to clear your web browser's cache
[In order to speed up web browsing, web browsers are designed to download web pages and store them locally on your computer's hard drive in an area called "cache". The cache contains a kind of travel record of the items you have seen, heard, or downloaded from the Web, including images, sounds, Web pages, even cookies. Typically these items are stored in the Temporary Internet Files folder.

When you visit the same page for a second time, the browser speeds up display time by loading the page locally from cache instead of downloading everything again. This sometimes results in less than current versions of web pages being displayed. When the cache fills up, performance can slow down and your hard drive may run out of space.

You should periodically clear the cache to allow your browser to function more efficiently. If you believe that you have a less than current version of a page, please see the following steps listed below to clear the cache in your browser.]

Thank you both! I tried User CP first, but the settings were already set as you advised, Curious..Next I tried clearing the browser Temp Internet files, and that seems to have done the trick..I'd be lost without you (and certainly less colorful)..
