Please don't let these confuse you.

Try the free ones like Picasa, and the trial downloads like Nero (for 30 days)

and Pinnacle is free for 30 days as well.

try one at a time, they all follow a basic standard of orders but then have their own signatures.

And please don't be afraid. If you use the cheap DVD's you'll just be wasting 24 cents a disc and earning a lot of life time experience while having a lot of fun and creating a life time of memory for you and all that you love

we watched a movie last night that moi sent...it POPPED right out of the screen! the picture was amazing.

i am saving all this info. summer goal...to copy my vhs family movies to dvd. i have the red/yellow/white plugins and all the sony software to do that.

I'm confused a bit though- why do you need the XP cd?
If you get a new pc it will have Vista on it most likely.

If your Dell is having problems you might be able to request a replacement CD from them. I was able to get a repl cd from HP for only 18.00.
And when my win xp home cd was damaged I was able to get a repl one for 24.00 from Microsoft.
So if it is for the Dell contact them first and see if they can help you before buying it yourself.

I use Picasa and I like it.

I also have Nero which came with the last DVD burner that I bought, and although I like that for burning discs, I prefer Picasa for editing and forwarding my photos.
