Do you know how to compress or zip a file?

If you can/want to do so, and send me a (compressed) copy of the DVD (if the relevant files can be dragged/dropped temp. to your hard drive), I'll see if it plays as is (without tweaking anything) on my end. (Just make sure that there are no password protections set on the compressed file or I won't be able to open it.)

This is my E-mail address, which I'll edit out later (within 24 hours since I don't want search engines retaining it): [ edited out ]

Just remove the space before and after the @ symbol; the spaces are only included to deter any spammers.

Anne, you could just get out your phonebook and look for video-production services. They can convert the DVD to NTSC and burn it to a new disc for you.

In the states, I usually pay about $20 to have PAL DVDs converted for me.

If the recipient is not computer savvy and has to jump through a bunch of hoops to see it, is it still a gift????;)

Thanks Nappy. That's another option I could look into as well. It's only a 10 minute film so hopefully it won't cost that much to covert it, but I had no idea what sort of people to ask about it.

I'm sure the recipient wouldn't know any more than I do when it comes to things technical. :o
