Default What the heck is going on with my email?

Every day I get an email from Pfizer Discount

It is in my email Outlook Express thing.

There IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IN THE SUBJECT MATTER. Never is!!

And on the top of the email (where it says from and to).

It always says Pfizer Discount and the to part is never to me. NEVER.

Today the To: was Daphna1@verizon.net

And again, nothing in the subject matter.

I cannot UNSUBSCRIBE because there is nothing in the subject matter.

So what does a person do when 4 or 5 times a day, they get an email (always from Pfizer Discount, whatever the heck that is), and it's ALWAYS to a different person. Always. Never to me.

So why am I getting these emails. I delete them of course,

But every day??

Anybody ever had this happen to them??

Thanks much.
Melody

Just checked my outlook express again.
THERE WAS ANOTHER THING FROM PFIZER.
this time it said: From: Pfizer Promotions to: (some other person, not me)

Subject line said: Client Notice: Expiry Notice.

And NOTHING IN THE BODY OF THE EMAIL.

This is very annoying.
any ideas are welcome.

Sounds like spam- do you have a junk or spam filter?
It can be set up to filter out those kinds of things and automatically send them to a junk folder or delete them.
If sent to Junk folder then you can double check to make sure nothing important gets sent by accident.
And you can set the Junk folder to auto delete after so many days or months, so you don't have to do it manually.

this site has a tutorial of how to set it up-

this one looks good too-

Hi. Thanks for those links. When Alan gives me sufficient time to get on the computer, I shall learn how to do this. I went into my Verizon email thing and I clicked on block sender.

I just got two more of those things. My curiousity is peaked because these emails are not addressed to me. THEY ARE NEVER ADDRESSED TO ME.

Always other people.

So why on earth do I get these in my email inbox.

I WOULD LOVE to know the answer to that one.

Thanks much.

Melody

Those hackers and spammers have all kinds of programs to find ways to send stuff.

just reading about that kind of stuff on those kinds of forums/sites forums is kind of scary.
