Hi. I find this very interesting. Because I have a language ability, I'd like to see what else I can learn. I did click on it, but they talk about fees, etc.

How can a person do this for free??

Thanks much.

Melody

I must have the brain of a toad.

I clicked on the Browse Topics Button.

I could find NOTHING that said FREE SHORT COURSES.

I saw all the various subjects, and how many units but really, I couldn't find anything about free short courses.

I really want to learn about this.

Can you help me a bit more??

Thanks much.

Mel

Melody I believe all you have to do is click on the Learning space in the center and select what you want to study, units is how many things there are in that section to learn.

Ok I think I got it figured out a bit... I clicked the Start Writing Fiction - and it takes you to another page where you can explore it or log in and see a demo and more options.
here's that page -
http://openlearn.open.ac.uk/course/view.php?id=2748

and I found that subject on this listing page-
http://openlearn.open.ac.uk/course/index.php

As long as it doesn't say anything about money or payments - they must be free....

Yeah you can study the courseware units for free, no payments, it's just if you go to their Uni in the UK it's cost is up there comparable to regular college. I'm sorry I didn't check back sooner. I haven't been studying up lately, just been busy with the end of summer. But the units are free to study.
