Isn't Ad-Aware 08 anti-spyware?

AVG is antivirus, but it's pretty good. Windows defender isn't bad. Spybot works well too.

If you can get your hands on the July edition of Consumer Reports (try the library) they did and outstanding review of products to make online computing safe. Many of the pics were free.

Wink we use free Avast...

It has been great. Each year you have to update it, and get a new code #, but that is pretty easy too.

If you use Firefox 3.0...you will find it blocks alot of stuff too.
Our Spybot and AdAware do not find objects anymore, since we upgraded. We averaged 40/week.

Hi all,
Megveg - As mentioned above - free AVG virus scanner, version 7.5 is a smaller file than the latest if your worried about disk space/time etc.

Spyware blaster and Spybot are good/user friendly/free and work together to cover internet and your hard drive.
Spybot search and destroy will find auto dialers, adware etc and give you the options to remove. Take the snapshot of your system before running. Not all files are bad so always check the program owning the file before deleting.

Download the latest free versions from brothersoft.com

I'll assume you have a firewall program cause you wouldn't last long on the net without one.
