Thank you everyone.

Another friend gave some help with it and I finally looked to see what the plugin was. It's the Apple quicktime player. I didn't have that one as I don't have a Mac.

Thank you for all your help. With all the viruses around at the moment I was just being careful.

That one should be fine, I use it on my ancient PC without any problems.

the "apple quicktime plugin" will and does work with windows. you do not ned a mac to use it. whenever a major program like that wants a plugin it will upon agreement to install scan your comp to find out what browser your running and then install the appropriate version to use with your browser.

persoannnly i dont use the quictime with windows as it auto installs itself to run on startup and i have to manually change it each time. so will install it when i want to view something and then uninstall it.
