Hi. I live on dirt roads and the dust is unbelievable. I've heard that pantyhose
can be used over parts of the computer so I tried it. As I stretched one leg over the back of the monitor, they shot across the room like a sling shot. My husband was sitting on the couch and they landed in his lap! Blessings, Doodle bug7 |

could you just use a slip?
![]() if its that bad i would make a note, that once a month unless it needs it more often, you shut it down open it up and GENTLY vacuum the vents and the fan and power motor vents and any dust bunnies you may have inquiry minds want to know what did DH say when the hose landed lol

Panty hose is actually excellent or even the little stocking socks, [because they don't need to be cut up]. Just cut the stocking up and use the sock part as a glove.
I also use cut up strips of panty hose to tie up shrubs to stakes so they won't fall over. Better than anything else because it gives a little in the wind. Just use it in a figure of 8 with one loop around the trunk and one loop around the stake and it won't cut into the plant. It's the greatest thing for cleaning stainless steel appliances and even the fake stainless steel (forget what that's called. I just call it 'that stainless steel coloured stuff'. lol It takes off all the fingerprints too. gotta be careful getting the vacuum too close to my monitor. There are magnets in vacuum cleaners as well as speakers, and I tend to need to demagnetize it a lot. |

Now I have a visual of pantyhose flying across the room!! LOL. My husband uses his air hose to blow the dust out of our lap tops.

That actully could be more dangrous than good. A airhose can have to much pressure and could knock wires loose. I would recomend a little can of air.

I would keep in mind that computer parts are very susceptible to static electricity. I would avoid putting any pantyhose inside the computer, they are static magnets lol.
And vacuums also can create static electricity, so I would avoid putting the vacuum hose inside of the case. There are little battery operated vacuums you can buy that are just for cleaning computers, but cans of air are much cheaper. Just a little static electricity can ruin your day ![]() Anytime you are going to touch any parts inside your computer make sure you ground yourself by touching the outside of the case before you reach inside. And if your going to be changing parts, or building a new computer, try not to work on it while on a carpet.
