Default I can't access my Verizon Mail folders!!!

Oh brother, what have I done to myself THIS time??

lol

I do NOT use Outlook Express.

I use Verizon webmail. I have never had problem.

And I create folders and I move the emails I want to save...well I move them to the folders I have created.

For example, I have a folder marked AUNT SALLY, and I save any emails that she has sent me.

Well, I have created about 7 folders (to store my ebay and paypal stuff).

I figured that someday I would need to retrieve an email from one of my folders.

The trouble is HOW DO YOU OPEN UP THE FOLDERS.??

I have clicked on them, (I get a message "rename this folder". I don't want to rename any folder, I want to open up the folder and retrieve my emails.

There is also an X next to my folders and when I put my mouse over the X, it prompted me to "EMPTY" the folder.

I don't want to empty anything.

I WANT TO OPEN UP MY FOLDER.

If any of you have Verizon Webmail, and you have folders, how on earth do you retrieve the emails from them?

Thanks much

Melody

I know our Verizon web mail pages look different , but for my saved folder i just click one time and then whatever is in it will show in a list on the message area.

have you tried refreshing the page?

do the other folders open for you?
the trash , spam ones?

Nope, I cannot access ANY of my folders.

On the screen, it lists the names of the folder on the left of my screen. And then across the right, it tells me how many messages I have, read, or unread. And there's an X next to my folders (the ones I created).

Can't open up ANY FOLDERS.

hm.

SOMEONE SAVE ME. lol

about the only things I can think of would be to clear your browser cache and cookies and then try it again.

Do you live in Maine/New Hampshire?

Verizon was taken over by Fairpoint.

Go to myfairpoint.net use your same user name, and same password. That should get you into your NEW account. They have webmail 4.0, so you can access it the same as the verizon. They swear they are forwarding old mail from verizon to fairpoint, and they swear that they will be allowing access to old files, and folders. Many, many folks had no warning, and have lost access to many family photos, and important documents.

Call the 800 number for verizon, and ask them to help you if those steps dont work.

I see what you mean. I googled it and found it indicates that it has to do with New England, etc.

I live in good old Brooklyn, NY.

I did give it a go. It didn't recognize my user id.

Oh well. I'll contact verizon.

thanks much

sorry, I should have clarified that this is a NORTHERN new england thing. It was quite the mess up here. We are still angry that we cannot get access to our old stuff, and documents that were stored in the verizon system.

Hope you get yours fixed.
