Question Another Question

Hello Everyone,

I joined photobucket so I could learn how to upload photo's. My question is, how do I get the photo's I want to put in my photobucket album from, say, my pictures or my email? I don't know alot about computers, so if you could explain as simple as possible, would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance,
Linda

hi linda.

the pictures or graffics have to be loaded on your computer. if you have pictures saved, like on yahoo pictures or aol you got pictures, you will need to create a folder and download them. or down load them to one you already have.

right click the picture. it should say "save as". then find the folder you want to save it. i will do a screen shot later fo ryou. hehehe..i'll find another picture to save.

Curious, thank you so much for your response!! Ok, I have alot of pictures stored in Picassa 2 and also quite a few in my email~Outlook Express. So, please if you could, explain it step by step how I take the ones I want from them and put them in an album on Photobucket, please??
Like I said, I am computer illiterate and am learning slowly how to do all this.
BTW, I want to thank you cause with your directions on how to set up an account and download on photobucket, I actually did it!! I was so proud, but it was because of you!! So, thank you!! I might need to explain, I have the photobucket thingy set up in my documents as I had to download something extra because I have XP. So, I had a few pictures in my documents and that is how I was able to test to see if it worked and it did!! But, I would like to know how to retrieve them from Picassa and my email.

Thank you soooooo much!! I feel like I am finally catching up to the world now!!

Hi Boopers-
I'm just uploading some of mine to photobucket.

go to photobucket online- log in
I think it was right on the main page - you will see

Upload Images & Videos
Choose an image (or a video)

Add more images (or upload from a web url)

just click on the browse button and it will take you to your computer where you locate your picture or pictures that you want to upload.
click on that and it then click the upload button.

as long as you can find you pictures on your computer then it's pretty easy.

Picasa program has a free web album too right from the software program {at the bottom by the email, blog etc}

Let us know if we can help more.

Question

Thank you Jo.

My problem is though, when I click on the browse button, it takes me to my documents and Picassa isn't in my documents, so I need to find out how I can transfer what pictures I want to publish into my documents from Picassa, so then when I click on browse, and it goes to my documents, I can get the pictures from there. Am I making any sense?? And, also, I have quite a few pictures in my email, which is oulook express, I need to know how to transfer those pictures into my documents.
Do you know how to do this?? See, I have two problems and can't figure out either one.
I do appreciate all you guys help!!
Thanks,
Linda

Linda
if the pictures in your emails are attachments, you click on the lil paper clip on the right top of the open email and a box will come up where you will click "save attachments" and then save them into your Pictures folder in your Documents

if the pics in your email are simply inserts in the emails (ie not attachments) then you just right click on your mouse and then click the "save as" that comes up in the lil box and again save them to your Pictures folder

right clicking on your other stored photos on Picassa should again give you the "save as " option..............

clear as mud??????

right clicking on a picture or graffic will give you this box:

click on the "Save As" to find the folder you want to save the picture in. i use folders set up in My Pictures.

on mine the pop up reads a little bit different.

right click on picture pop up says-
view image
copy image
copy image location
save image
send image as

and a couple other options - on your computer screen it may be worded a little different also.

my picasa must be set up different - cause all my photos stay in the my pictures section of my documents and the picasa just finds them when I open it to do any editing or adjusting of them.
But it is acting odd lately finds the pictures but they don't open/show- so I may have to reinstall it.
