Default Anyone have this happen?

Hi all! I've been using Glitter Graphics ever since I've been here at NT and in the past couple of wks, my spyware has caught 3 intrusions from an attacker trying to get into my computer. Spyware blocked the attack and said the ''known'' name of the attacker came from when I entered Glitter Graphics.

Has anyone had any type of notice like that or attack attempts when using GG? Thank goodness my spyware caught it, blocked it and notified me. I checked my history and all 3 came from GG.

I've been getting them from Photobucket as well. So far my scanner has picked them up.

Thanks Anne! I wonder what's up w/that? I've used GG for a long time, but getting those ''attack'' notices kind of freaks me out.

I haven't noticed any yet, and I use GG graphics quite a bit here.

I guess this serves to remind us of the importance of having a reliable virus scanner, that's kept updated and running in the background.

I haven't had that happen. Do you have glitter graphics as an allowed web site on your pop up blocker and spyware? Sometimes I am asked if I want to trust a site.

Thanks ~ Hey Sandy, I've had that notice come up before, but never on GG's. Do you continue when you get that notice when entering those sites? Oh, and it hasn't happened every time I've gone to GG's, just 3 times in the past couple of wks.

I have never had that happen before and yes, my Spyware is all up to date and very good. It feels so intrusive when the words "a known attacker trying to make an attack on your computer has been blocked". Then I run a complete scan to make sure all is well. I feel very uneasy about this, but my spyware says all is well.

Your spyware is doing a great job. I didn't know it said a known attacker is trying to get into your computer. I read the first post as meaning it was blocking the site only. It doesn't sound good that's for sure. Can you get to the site long enough to grab the email address to write them and ask about it? Here, better yet, let me go there and get it for you.

OK, I'm back. Don't go look. What I am finding interesting is when I do a search for GG I see this before I click on it:

Glittergraphics.us - Myspace Glitter Graphics, Free Myspace ...This site may harm your computer.
Myspace Glitter Graphics for your page! Myspace, Friendster, Piczo, Xanga, & More!
www.glittergraphics.us/

That's not good if it says this. I wonder if the site has been compromised recently? In my honest opinion, I wouldn't use the site anymore. I didn't even try to go in since it said that. Also, look at the address above. It does not look like the same site I used to use.

I believe the address below is the right site. Maybe there are duplicate sites that are not the real company?

Glitter Graphics: your resource for Myspace graphics and Myspace ...Myspace Graphics, Myspace Layouts, Myspace Codes, Myspace Glitter Graphics, Myspace Backgrounds, orkut graphics and Hi5 Graphics.
www.glitter-graphics.com/ - 65k

Let us know if the address you are using is the same as the one above. I don't get any warnings using that one. As mentioned, I didn't even try the first one listed.

You guys are so smart! I had problems with photo bucket and also with some emoticons (forgot the name of the site). So I don't go there any more. It is scary how many 'fake' sites there are.

Oh well. Got to ask people!

I use the link that Yappy gave us a long time ago and keep it in my favorites, so haven't changed a thing. It's the second addy you provided. Geez, I got my new adaptor and have been so happy, but in the past couple of days, my monitor will go dim for a quick second and then be fine. I think my PC has more sx's than I do.

Oh, and no comments please on the DIM word!!! hahaha
