I'd just try matching up the colors and see if it works - some might just be extra for surround sound or something.

Is the TV or anything labled?
red & blue or white ??= left or right - sound
yellow is video

if cable box goes to TV then TV wires go to vcr

so tv video yellow goes out to vcr video in
