One down, one to go!
Okay, I finally got the Yahoo browser toolbar to show up. Apparently,
there's a feature on here (which I found by accident, BTW) where you can "hide the toolbars". Which is ridiculous, if you ask me. As for the rest of it, I'm going to ask my SIL to take a look at the PC. It's just hard to know what the problem might be without actually looking at the computer screen, y'know?:o Thanks, everybody!:) |
The very best anti spyware I have used is the beta version of microsoft anti spyware and now its called windows defender..and you can go to the windows update site and put its name in a search on the site and its free, all you have to do is first download the windows validation tool (to prove you have legal copy of windows) and its free! I sure wish I had installed it on mine in time since somone hacked my pc and took over my yahoo Id's and I can't get them back!!! Grrrrrrr.....I hate computers!

Sorry to hear that your IDs were stolen.:( I'll take a look at the site,
thanks, Junie!:) |
For the record...

any problems...until I went to mapquest. Then, I got the same message I've been getting. Now, whether that means that there's a problem with the mapquest site, I'm not sure, because I don't remember what site I was looking at when all this trouble started. But, I wasn't using MSN Explorer this time and I still got the message. So, it looks like the browser wasn't the problem. Back to the drawing board! |
