Default Friends and Family.

How do you go about losing those in your life? I mean this world seems so difficult. We grow to love each other and then we lose each other. I just lost my grandmother and now one of my Dad's good friends is about to lose his life. It seems so terrible, I just don't know what to make of it anymore.

It's hard.....and it just seems to hurt more at this time of the year.

Grieving is hard work and it takes an emotional and physical toll on us. There's no way around it and even if we mask it, we'll still have to deal with it at some point. It's just a necessary part of healing. There's nothing that I know of to make it any easier.

Sometimes grief counseling is needed to help us through the rough spots. There's no shame in that. It's hard to understand why things happen. And trying to understand while mourning the loss of a loved one is doubly hard.

There are some really good books on the subject, too. Check out your local library and see if they have any of them. Local Hospice also has access to counseling and group meetings. There's lots of help out there. I'm so sorry for your losses and for the pain you're dealing with.

Life is not easy. We go through so much at one time or another. As you said, we love people in our lives and it is so hard to lose them. Life is full of ups and downs; there are smiles and there are tears. But that is what makes us human; our feelings are precious. Your feelings are precious - even as you grieve.

Talking to others helps; it is part of the healing process. Take care of yourself even at this difficult time in your life.

You are in my thoughts and in my prayers. Rest easy tonight.

It's hard and unfortunately part of life. Hang in there, time does help.
