I hope this helps someone who is dealing with grief. Someone sent it to me today and it's supposed to make you feel better. I've watched it over and over again and why can't I get it through my thick skull that she is gone?

You can't because you are in denial....the wonderful cocoon we find ourselves wrapped up in to protect us from the reality of something that is too painful to deal with.

Those words, while beautiful and meant to be comforting, are meaningless when we are still in shock. You need to be kinder to yourself and patient...there are no rules about how long this is going to take.

That was just beautiful. I seem to be adjusting fairly well considering his family doesn't pay hardly any attention to me. Almost no phone calls or e-mails. I have a lot of friends on this forum though and my church family. I have taken up some hobbies and my attention is on them.

Billie I'm so sorry you're being treated this way. I know what it feels like to be rejected and it hurts. But like you said you have your church friends and you have lots of friends here too.

I am used to being treated like this. It don't bother me much anymore. I do have friends here at home. So many agree with me and tell me that their not surprised that some are like this. They treat their own kids the same way. I just decided to get past this and make a new life. It is so much better since I did this. Thanks for your kind words.
