Joely, keep your head up and stay strong. I'm very sorry for your loss. I lost my mom in 2008 when I was 13 years old. Now I'm 18 and even today there are some hard moments in our life where we only want our most loved, near as, at least to speak with them, or hug them. You must know that she would not want to see you sad because shes gone. And she is there, she is still in your heart. Mine is.

Joely, I am a Stephen Minister and most of my training was about grief. If you would like me to help you, I would be very happy to. It would be Spiritual help, tho, and you would have to agree to that. I don't want to offend anyone, but only help them with their grief and what God has taught us. Let me know how you feel about this. I'm a good listener and have some suggestions for you. I also held my Mother's hand with her last breath. I know the experience but, we are all different in our grief. There is no right or wrong way. Blossom25

I am so sorry for your loss. Do you have any siblings? Maybe you could have a little service with them. It doesn't have to be a big production. Even if you took some of her ashes and set them free in her favorite place. It is said that funerals are for the living because it helps to have closure. My Mother died in 2009 and my Dad died in January this year. Both of them were cremated and we had a small service for each of them. They are now together at the cemetery where we can go see them anytime. It is comforting to have them together in this beautiful place. I pray that you find answers and peace in your life!
