Heart Today was our Wedding Anniversary~

I lost my husband two years ago. We would of celebrated our 49 yr. today. Life is not the same without him. I miss him terrible on the holidays, all of them. I just wonder if it gets easier as the years pass, or is it always like this? We meet when I was 15 and he was 18. So it seems like we were always married. I do have a lot of good memories and a wonderful marriage. Not everybody can say that.

Just wanted to say life goes on, but it isn't the same. I miss you BOb!
Hugs,
Billie

Awwww, lady

You are so right that not many can say they've had a good life and marriage. I'm so happy you two were happy for so many years. But still, wish you could have had another 47 years together.

My folks made it to 71 years. Or was it 72? Buried my dear Mom 2 years ago tomorrow. I still have cooking and sewing questions I need her to answer!

Billie + Bob. Is your last name Thornton?

Hi Twinkletoes,
Thanks so much! No my last name isn't Thornton. I would tell you, but not here on the internet. Yes, I wish we could of had more time together. Life is short, make the best of it.
Blessings,
Billie

Thanks for being there for me. Its nice to know people care. Yes, I think our loved ones know we loved them and they are there for us too, to encourage us on. The Bible tells us: "We shall be known as we are known". So they will be waiting for us too!

Hi Fancylady. I am so sorry for your loss. You could make this day a celebration with all your memories.

I don't know if it ever gets easier but I want to believe that with time, the pain does lessen.

Time does ease the pain.....never takes it away but it does ease the sharpness of it. Memories are funny....sometimes they can make you smile and in the next breath reduce you to tears. I know what you're going through....and it's only been two years so give yourself ample time to grieve and don't ever feel like you have to justify your feelings. It's been seven years for me and there are days when it feels like yesterday. But they are getting fewer....so yes, time does help.
