Default Another pastel done to "de-stress"
We have endured a week of contractors preparing our house for new paint. Siding has been removed and replaced, or repaired . . . trim has been added where it was missing . . . and the porch roof surprised us by being almost totally rotten inside, and has been rebuilt. Now we have a couple days of scraping and sanding, priming, then finally the final coat!

The stress level has been off the charts . . so in order to focus I cranked up the stereo and worked on this:


Bodie Island Light, pastel on cork paper, 7" x 20"



A-a-a-a-a-ah! Another one will likely get done this week . . . contractors rise much earlier than we do!

This pastel that you painted to 'de-stress' is incredibly beautiful. I love the colors. It is beautiful, it is 'quiet', it is serene and, yet, it explodes with colors!
