Default I need to buy some Velour Pants.

Years ago (when I was much larger), I used to get these black velour pants from Lane Bryant. I literally lived in these pants (had about 5 pairs). Wore different blouses with them, but the pants were so comfortable, they had elastic waists, etc.

COMFORTABLE.

Well, now I'm much smaller, probably a size large in these kinds of pants.

Can't find them anywhere. At least that I can afford them. I did find some on the internet. Bob Mackie makes them for $34.99 or so. The ones I bought years ago were $9.99. I know, I'm being ridiculous.

I'm not the type to wear jeans. Can't stand anything around my waist except elastic waistband.

I do have pants by GAPBODY that I bought from The Gap, in an extra large, that I had to have re-fitted. Taken up 4 inches in the length and made slimmer in the hip area. So a size large in any kind of stretch pants would probably fit me.

I just want to buy some Velour pants. No one around here sells these things. I don't want to have to get on a bus and go to the mall, only to find out they don't sell these pants any more.

If I knew I would need them NOW, I would have bought smaller sizes, YEARS ago. I used to do that. Buy a lesser size in the hope that one day I might fit into something.

Well, that day has arrived, and I CAN'T FIND VELOUR BLACK PANTS ANYWHERE.

I went to Ebay, but they have size extra large.

If anyone knows a place on the internet where I can get comfortable stretch (with elastic waistband), black velour pants, boy would I appreciate it.

thanks much

Melody

Well, I am answering my own post.

J.C. Penny has the for $17.99. I just might buy a pair. I also have a bid on ebay for a pair of burgundy ones. Seller has excellent feedback.

One day, I just might try a pair of jeans, but every time I see someone wearing them, I go "how can they have anything tight around the waist or buttoned up at the waist. I have NEVER worn anything but elastic waist in my life.

Especially jogging pants. I used to LIVE in those things.

I guess at 62, I'm not about to go and buy hip huggers or anything like that.

Give me good old comfortable pants any day.

Then, I can add a fancy blouse and necklace and I'm GOOD TO GO!!

lol

if you need some for winter use... try polartec windblock pants they are wonderful.. you can put on dressy top and they look like velour... wash them inside out to prevent pilling.

Hi.
I won the burgundy pair of velour pants on Ebay.

I shall check out Polartec windblock pants.

I do thank you for suggesting this.

Take care.
