Heart Understanding

It's about understanding
And I'm sure
It was all very convincing
It's not your fault
WE know who to blame
NOW
Everyone does
I remember
That brief conversation
I forced myself to forget--for so long
But I have the scars
To prove...
that I remember
Thank-you
For bringing it up.
Because now--I can tell you--The TRUTH
And I'm so sorry--That you were used.
And I'm sorry--That I was a victim.--Not only of them, but of my own
MASOCHISM
He was lucky...that I aided him...in the waging of his war against me. He was lucky...that he wasn't the first one to hurt me...he was lucky...that I didn't love MYSELF.
It's about understanding. And believing the TRUTH. And I'm sorry, that it took me so long to tell it to YOU.

(For my Brother)--2/17/07--
