Default Yayyyy CROCHET!!

I love to crochet too. What's your favorite project to work on? What are you working on currently?
I'm actually knitting lately. Right now I'm knitting a wingspan scarf? Do you knit as well?
I enjoy both, sometimes one more than the other, but I think I love them both equally.

I have to join you in this wonder hobby.I got the Womens Auxiliary to begin making prayer shaws for those who need them. we never know who they will go to until it is finished and some way God let's us know who needs it most. We just pray about it and we then select a color and make it. When it is finished we pray about it and then we know who it goes to or who knows who it should go to. The need is so great. The last one i mad e was white and smaller than i normally make and I thought who in the world is small enough to use this one, well it turns out some one i know has a baby who may need surgery on his head and i knew as soon as it was said who it was for.We package them with a special prayer for that person. We know we are doing the right thing because we are able to give them out as soon as we finish. My work is not perfect but it is what God would have me do so each one is better than the last. I feel so blessed to be able to do this work

I so look forward to getting back to crocheting, I gave up knitting as I decided to focus on just a coupe of hobbies, I absolutely loved painting especially trying to do English Cottages and gardens like KINKADE loved doing. maybe I will someday get back with painting, but I more less limit myself to two hobbies, that is when I have the time for them. My second is sewing, for our home and myself and hubby, I can not find styles nor fabrics in store bought things that I like, of course the only thing I won't sew is my denim jeans, and every day pull over knit tops. my favorite in crocheting is doilies and table toppers, pineapple rose patterns and love to challenge myself with those that are complicated patterns. I have self taught myself through all my hobbies, I thank the Lord for getting me through a brief period of blindness from a stroke some years back, enabling me to do things but I think my greatest need was to be healed so that I could be the caregiver 24-7 for my husband, we will soon to be blessed with our 57th wedding anniversary. I am fairly new to the site. Feel blessed to have found it here. Wishing all a good day. Patti

Teeth I'm new too

I'm fairly new to the forum too, but not to crochet! Love it!

Just made four large ripple afghans for Christmas gifts this past Christmas. Then a baby afghan for a friend's new wee one. Not to mention a large ripple (this is my fav...it's so fast and I find I can take it anywhere) for my daughter just because she asked if I could make her one. Of course I can! Currently, two projects on the hook....afghan for a church sale and one for another baby!

I find it distracts me from thinking that most days. Heck, it keeps me from thinking I should be out there doing.....but I can't. It's physically an impossibility.

My CRPS is not terribly advanced yet, but there are definitely days where I hurt so badly, that I can't stand long enough to make a sandwich. So, I crochet. I have bins and bins and shelves and shelves of yarn, all different styles and colors.

I'm interested to see if we can make the particular board more hoppin' and active. I'm sure we all could use a distraction once in a while. Something to keep our minds sharp or to fill the night hours waiting for a pain pill to kick in or just to have fun and maybe teach others a new hobby. Could be an expensive one....just warnin ya'll!

Yeah, I like to crochet. My favorite thing to make is afghans. My family loves them, and friends keep asking me to make them one cause they're so warm!

I'm making one now for a friend -- I've kinda gotten stuck tho -- I've had so many other things to do that it got put on the back burner. I've got to get back to it. yikes!

Afghans are definitely my favorite thing to crochet, although I've made everything from water bottle carriers and Chapstick holders, to purses and pot holders! I like simple though. I don't like to spend more time deciphering a pattern than actually crocheting it!

Default I love knitting and crochet!

I am a better knitter, but love crochet. I want to make the really lacy stuff out there, but very complicated. Yarn is fiber therapy. Oh yes it is.

[SIZE="1"]What happened. I was in a car accident 2-23-2013, and got a mild concussion from it. I had some time off for brain rest, got somewhat better, but slipped into PCS in March 2013.

Symptoms I had: dizziness, light and sound sensitivity, fatigue, tinitis, occasional headaches and migraines,

Symptoms as of 5--2013: poor sleep, tinitis, some confusion /short term memory blanks, balance. The other symptoms are mostly gone, but flare up if I OVERdo something.

Therapy I had: vestibular

3 months in: I could drive more and for longer distances. I felt like a younger, happier version of myself and I feel so blessed to have this feeling.

9 months in and I am working full time. I do get tired, and some sound and light sensitivity from time to time, but mostly I am over most of my symptoms.
I pray every day and I m praying for your recovery.

Over a year in: I can multi task (limited) and have humor in my life. But when I am tired, I am very tired.
