Hey Everyone,

I have posted a few times on here about my health and you all helped me so much not just with my physical health but with my mind as well with encouragement and as a result, I was thinking of you guys again!!!

As the title suggest, I am wanting to know if there are any "Gearheads", any background is welcome - lawnmowers, motorcycle, car, truck, whatever you are into - if it has a motor, I would like to know.

The reason I am asking is because as some of you might already know, I am disabled now and I am VERY limited in what I can do. I used to be VERY involved in racing (specifically Outlaw 10.5W - drag racing and diesel performance such as sled pulling). I have been into motorsports since I was a kid and have over 20 years professional experience.

Now I am severely disabled and I miss it VERY much, it kills me everyday that I can't do what I loved to do! - I still keep up with it and still tune cars and trucks for a few friends (computer based) and I still try to go to races occasionally when I feel up to it!

With that being said, I took automotive as my major but also had a little automotive mechanical engineering as well. I am wanting to start a few projects to get myself back into it. As my Christmas gift my Grandpa and parents went together and bought me AutoCAD and a VERY nice rendering program so I can make my own designs, parts or whatever I feel like.

After setting and thinking about it for a while, I decided that since it looks as though I am not going to get disability anytime soon, I am gonna start doing some part designs for my friends as a way to offset my HUGE medical bills!!

So, I am sure you are asking why am I posting here. Well, its simple, I know I am depressed right now (winter blues) and just the fact I am unable to do a whole lot and I know that there are a lot of you folks in the same boat.

I though we could start a community design project of sorts. Either a car, truck, motorcycle or something else cool, heck - even a go kart or something of the sort. It would get everyone's mind off the bad stuff and would give us something to look forward to!!

It is NOT to make money off of its just for us and at the same time, you would be helping me make my skills better - I always have but now more than ever, I need a challenge!! I DO NOT care what level your skills are or if you say, "I do not know much about mechanical stuff" - that is the beauty of it.

I will post picks of the progress and we can have discussions as a group and have fun with it!! If you DO have experience with cars or design, that is a welcomed addition as well, just makes for more help for the all of us!!

What ideas do you have as far as what you would be interested in designing??

You can count me in... I use to work on alot of things before my back injury. I just can't do much anymore. I have a broke down plow truck, and that is a ***** this time of year. Maybe we could exchange ideas. We could have somthing like that, people come in with problems they are having with their car, truck, lawn mower, whatever, and they could get some advice. Somthing like that sounds cool to me. Let me know what you think. Bret

I think both, I dont know alot about motorcycle's, but thats the cool thing I am sure there are others that do.

I had kind of an idea about doing a custom chopper, sort of like a long sleek design.
