I am a first time quilt maker. I have a simple question. Should I put the binding on first and then the inside or visa versa? Or does the binding go on after batting and back are ready?
Thank you very much, Doodle bug7 |

Hi! I am brand new to NeuroTalk so I just saw your post now. You piece the top, sandwich the quilt (baste and back), quilt it out, trim it, then add the binding at the end.
For wonderful step by step instructions check out Diary of a Quilter's blog. She really lays it out in a clear series. You can also check out my website Hoppipolla Quilts and my blog for more advanced information and to see some of the quilts I've finished. Best of luck with your quilt, when you're done I'd love to see a photo of it on the forum!!! |
