Strong and stubborn as the sun.
Steady shining, ever rising.
Stands alone, only one.
Only one to start the day,
Only one ignites the peace,
Only one to grow the world,
Bloom the flowers, tame the beast.
Endless hope, like a light
Always streaming from the core.
Feeding fires, warming hearts,
Making Love ,ending war.
Beaming bright, omnipresent,
Strong and silent as the sun.
Just keep shining, keep me warm,
Feed my fire until I'm done.

I liked your poem.You know what I got my lazy,and evil Mom for Mothers day,a subscription to the Diabetic cooking magazine! She is diabetic,and took the easy way out to lose weight,and had 2 gastric bypass surgeries,but would eat like a pig before that,now she can't because of the surgeries,but she'll still go to a fast food joint and just get something small,not for diabetics! She can't say I never got her anything,and I can claim I did it out of love!
