All his Works across all media are truly stunning. The video of his process and dedication shows that even a talented artist has to hone their skills with endless hours of practice.
There are few artists who produce Works which speak to me and I connect with across the board. I have been shown a new name today - 'Transformation' in Paintings Section is amazing. Dave.

This young man's video and portfolio were a pleasure for me to see this morning. Jake Weidmann is extremely talented, passionate and articulate. I couldn't agree more with what he said about teaching your child handwriting. This is such a timely subject as the Common Core education standards dictate that cursive writing no longer be taught in elementary schools. It is good to see that there are Penman out there who will keep this important art form alive.

Wow!!! What an amazingly talented individual. And only 12 master penmen in the world! He should be a national treasure.
I really resonated with what he said about ingraining knowledge through the tactile experience of forming the shapes of the words and joining them into sentences. Thanks!

I so enjoy Jake's works and his words.
Sounds strange, I know, yet I am often saddened when I think of the loss of the importance of penmanship. I have always enjoyed penmanship in general, as well as practicing calligraphy. I felt a deep loss when email became so popular... and it has taken me time to adjust. I had continued to write many personally hand-written letters for many years after email became so popular. I had my favorite pens and my favorite stationaries, all so very carefully selected and collected over the years. It was an art form, so to speak. Not hand-crafting letters anymore... it has been a huge adjustment for me. I feel like those days are gone, are behind us now. It's refreshing to see Jake's work and to hear his viewpoints on penmanship. I deeply appreciate seeing his work. Simply beautiful! DejaVu
