Pamela Sue,
There are thoughts, images and beauty you send forth. "You're a poet, doncha know it?"

I quite wish I had written the verse meandering through my drug addled mind, it surprised me with its wax and wane, it is but of course a given I won't write a single solitary letter. Oh gosh, I'm struggling so hard to put these words out on paper, I'm falling asleep at the drop of a pen, and struggle then to what it was I was visualising, I wish I was in the mind to keep my thoughts to one single train, instead, I close my eyes and many flood the imagined page. I turn the iPad back on and nothing has been written. I've got a thing temperature, 40 now, and with rigours, they seem a little perplexed by it all and neeedless to say, it all hit the fan after DB had left for the day. Once again, I'm left to deal with what comes next...anhow thank you Nigg, until next time I hope xx

I like that I learned something new today, I suspect much like Kicker...The title of this one tells us that it's going to be a poem set in the early morning hours (an aubade is a kind of morning love poem or a song of dawn).

I like how yours was rounded, simple yet with strong visualisation. I did a little further searching and I say with a "sigh" I read Philip Larkin Aubade. Nigg, it gave me great pleasure to come back and read the rest of your prose. Your love for your wife and boy, I assume this is who they are, is so staunchly uplifting after venturing off to read Larkin, who, I must say is quite good really, when read in the right setting... to put into in context, sat in hospital recovering slowly from major surgery, wife of a recovering alcoholic ... not so much lol...

Nigg, next time, I look forward to you taking the chance to step out across the darkened passage, just the touch or light caress of a hand from a loved one can bring so much to ones life. I'd go so far as to say some 25yrs down the married pathway now, it's the handholding, the kiss to the brow, the gentle touch or caress that says far more to me than those heady days of lust & passion, not that they're dead, I just find more meaning in the other. Haha, DB I'm sure would be the first to say the opposite.

I do not write verse. But I enjoy writing e-mail, etc. What you just wrote is writing. I can feel it. It is a form of art, needs no other eyes to validate it.

Oh how sweet & kind of you to suggest such a thought. I'm just too verbose.. I suffer with the want to cast, draw, paint & bring a flower to life using words as my brush; reality check - I could use one or two simple words to convey exactly what I want to say.

I'm so tired right now, I keep falling asleep with my screen opened to write replies on NT & I do, I have great flowing conversations, then I open my eyes as the screen is just about to flicker off, page blank, nary a word in sight.

Just a suggestion Pamela but would a small Dictaphone help ? When the thoughts come, flick a switch, saying a word , phrase, sentence and then later when you're more able you can construct a piece .
If it was of interest on my website I've recorded my voice with music/without reading the poems, easier to listen.

My Best Pamela

My best conversation are with my neurologist in my head. I polish stuff. In real life, we do not converse, I see him once a year for an appointment. But
i like and respect his intellect. Perhaps in a different like we might have been friends. Sometimes I store words on e-mail drafts.
