Default Colors

RED
Never one of my favorites,
Makes me feel intimidated!
RED
So confined, limited,
Restraining and smothered!
RED is…
A color to avoid, ignore to chose!
Slowly unnoticed, boldly silent…
RED invaded,
Making itself “assigned” to me.
For it was never chosen for the color!
RED colors coat
“Chubby” my truck, my cell phone, work apron,
The perfect box, holding treasures of my heart.
RED
Has final found its own way into
My surroundings creating harmony.

STUCK
The colors of her smiles are
Blinding and bright. Glorious and sparkled,
Flashing lips of red tinted flesh.
Nothing can match her smiles.
Except her cheery musical voice,
As she says hello or vibrates in laughter.
She is the colors of sunshine at dusk and sunrises at dawn.
An eye candy mix of every color known to human kind.
Constantly shifting to move the scene on to the next moment.
I find myself forever trapped within her colors.
