Oh my goodness that sounds awesome!!! I don't have any way to embroider, but I really like seeing it done! I didn't wear any of these, except the dress with the bodice, it never stayed closed properly so it was destined to become quilt blocks....LOL!

You mentioned you've sewn by hand; there's still redwork & blackwork.

Today I digitized some op-art (kind of like blackwork—but with the idea that the machine will do it if it can be fixed).

I don't know what those technical terms mean but I am guessing it has to do with the hand embroidery techniques. My quilt is going to have some embroidery on it, but nothing that I have done, it's flowers and vines from the dress I could never get to close properly. LOL!

They're just some of the older (and simpler) techniques suitable for handwork ('cuz that's all they had/could do). Some crossover with cross stitch.
