Watching old videos,
On a rainy afternoon,
Just a lazy weekend,
In the month of June.
All these old videos,
I’ve had stored away,
Why not pull them out,
And give them a play.
Watching old videos,
Brings back memories,
These old TV shows,
Dramas and comedies.
All these old videos,
I’ve forgotten I had,
Are such fun to watch,
When the weather is bad.

I used to watch movies, when I lived alone,
With my friends Ben & Jerry, a pint and a spoon.
Every once in a while now, I see an ad
For an upcoming show that seems not so bad,
In spite of the content that's so hard to take.
But the big problem is, I just can't stay awake.

I grabed a handfull of colorful fun
tasting such sweet sticky yum.
Following the directions you see
that clearly said "blow me".
The gum flew out from my lips
landed in the potato chips.
Auntie served to uncle Bill
who ate them all ,I laugh still. :p

I SEE FLAGS

Lap after lap, day after day,
I see colored flags along the way;
Clear track at first when I get out of bed,
It’s a green flag I can see straight ahead.
Half way through the day the colors will change
To different shades in the yellow range...
Be careful, slow down, don’t overdo;
There’s a hazard ahead, don’t push on through.
Sometimes there’s a red one, the worst of them all,
A fatigue-induced blow-out and I hit the wall.
I know when I see orange on blue that I need
To just step aside, let the true leaders lead.
Don’t use all my strength, we’re almost to white,
The flag that reminds me it soon will be night,
And even though the clock says “not yet”,
The black flag in my body says “Now you MUST pit!”
Deep in my soul I know that’s not the end:
Someday the checkered flag says I WIN!!

Stamped me with a number,
just like you,
lined us up together
standing in cow poo.
Nurses and doctors proding
at something fairly new,
milked my savings high and dry,
but that is nothin mooooooooooo.
To them we seem like cattle
standing side by side in this poo
but to me your a grand old friend
and I hope I am to you.

Wax

The wax on my candle is covering wick
too hot to handle, getting quite thick.
why can't I burn it down to the quick?
scraping it out....it looks like ick!
