A poetry slam is open to the public people gather and have a slam you sign up to compete. everyone is given a topic and you have 5 minutes to write a poem on that topic. then each person stand at the mic and reads performing the
poem they wrote to the judges and audience. audience cheers for their fav. there is usualy 3 rounds ... 3 topics . at the end the judges and audience picks the best 3 or 4 people. I just did my second slam this December... was a BLAST!!!! I LOVE THE LINE YOU HAVE "CAT CUDDLES MY ANKLE PURRS! " beautiful image and sound pop right into mind ...real poetic, great job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
