Default Woodburning

I have found that I enjoy woodburning. I have my husband trace the stuff out for me and I sit in my recliner (I know, not too safe) then after I am done burning it I paint it.

I did a rose and the burning came out beautiful. I got bored recently and painted it, it was great. Then I gave it to my mom, so I can't post a pic.

Hi
I had friends in Cape Town who did the most exquisite wood burning as well as carvings.

Do you have any photos of your work. It sounds so lovely!

I do a lot of woodworking projects, I just love it. I tried burning for a bit but in my case, it seemed like a really rotton thing to do to an innocent piece of wood.

I've done a profile of my son's face - I will post that picture when I get my camera back from my brother. Then the painted one I did, I gave to my mom, she loved it.

I started the WB project and my husband found that he has a knack for it and does most of the projects now. They come out great.

Default Pictures of some projects

I wanted to upload some pictures of projects in the works.

The dog bone is for my home and the flower is for a new home gift for my brother.

I like woodburning...you will definitely not think of any worries while you work on it. lol

I don't do much anymore...I always have been creative with arts but have lost a lot of interest in the last few years...mostly because of the depression and partly because of the fatique...

I did a roadster for a co worker to hang on his door, put his name underneath and it turned out really nice. I've done flowers, birds, deer, fisherman, fish...maybe I'll try a dog, lol

You keep on doing those wood burning...ps...the wood don't feel it, AMN. lol

Lightbulb I used to do woodburning...

When I was a kid... I think that smell was also "burned" into my memory!

I have a free form woodburning picture of a striped cat, that I bought at an
art fair. It is still hanging in my living room! I never got that far, with it,
to make my own images back then!
It is also painted, but with dilute pigment, so the nice grain of the wood shows
thru.

Sounds like fun... you go girl !
