Default Acrostic Poem

THE CHAIR-BMW

Drilling vibration,
Engulf my sensation,
Novocain shots at the nerve.
Tight tugging jerks,
Invading pain lurks,
Smiling teeth to preserve.
Torturing affair in that chair!
---------------------------------------------
BACK BONE-BMW

Pulling yourself up,
Every time you fall.
Recovering yourself,
Standing tall,
Inside.
Stubborn in spite of difficulties,
To continue on,Believing.
At last achieving,
Nervy calm boldness.
Cradling courage,
Enduring constant change.

I like those poems, BMW, and I thought I would add one I just come up with!

Pain
Never ending pain,
Engulfs me again.
Understanding it all,
Remains a tough call.
Although it’s hard to take,
Letting it win is a mistake.
Giving in is just not right,
I have the strength to fight,
And I know relief is in sight...

Great word . Acrositc poem is the challenge this time at my writing workshop... only I do not think anybody there would understand ha ha or could even pronounce the word. I was going to do anesthesia dolorosa but thatd be even harder for them and like you said "never ending pain ".I decided to go with "persistance" to in my mind match the pains presents with some good old fashion "sock it to ya".
Jaime keep up the fight! and keep on sharing you are a wicked great artist of words. !!!!!!!! sometime You should join us playing Tag here.
Many Blessings Jaime.
Peace and Love

Please Listen -BMW
Suffocating, struggling, sleep deprived
Noisy beyond my limits, not listening to my pleas.
Out of his bed I sleep now, angry!
Relaxed throat chokes stopping breath over and over.
I check thought the night for signs of life, I love.
Not using c-pap machine, will I find you dead?
Gasping grouchy grumpy guy
--------------------------------------
Electric nightmare -BMW
Powerful, profound
Hidden from view
Anesthesia dolorosa
Neuro stimulator
Trigeminal neuralgia, to cope, accept, deal
Out of options for now
My face, mouth ,my teeth ,my lip

Present always, part of me
A horrible monster to tame
Inside, in charge, IS REAL
Not understood, nerve snapped, not giving in

I wrote a few more during the week...you inspired me!

Pain

Caught in a trap,
How do you escape?
Raw emotions,
On a rollercoaster,
Never ending pain,
Indescribable,
Completely overtakes,
Pain is a part of your life,
And it doesn’t seem fair,
Incomparable,
Not how life should be…

Doctors

Do we trust them?
Often we don’t,
Consultations too short,
Tests and scans to be done,
Overpriced medications,
Results we expect,
Sometimes we don’t get answers…

Nightmares

Not what they seem,
Indescribable,
Giving you chills,
Hard to understand,
Terrifying too,
Mind controlling thoughts,
And disturbing visions,
Restless every night,
Endless dreams,
Something doesn’t feel right…

Ali you probably have done one of these in your school. I have 2 girls 17 and 13
they have done this type of poetry before at school. I bet you could do a couple great ones. try it it is fun. (as well as a good way to express hard stuff).
do one about your "sorta new" puppy.
nice to chat with you.
Peace and Love

I thought would revive this thread as I have written a couple of acrostic poems for a fibro friend.

FIBROMYALGIA

Fatigue
Insomnia
Brain fog
Restlessness
Over tired
Muscle pain
You’ve had enough!
Aching body
Legs so stiff
Gripping pain
Irritable
Anxiety and depression…

FIBROMYALGIA

Fun cannot be had
I feel I’m going mad
Brain fog has got hold of me
Really wanting to break free
Over this fatigue every day
Muscle pain won’t go away
Yearning for my pain-free past
Aching that takes over fast
Legs just don’t want to work
Give me meds to stop the jerk
I can’t take it any more
Afraid of what lies in store…

A GREAT FRIEND

Always there no matter what.

Giving you support and guidance.
Reaching out and giving you that extra hand.
Excellent in every way.
A true pal who will stick with you forever.
Trying to help you fulfill your dreams.

Finding the path for you.
Right in every way.
Inside your heart forever.
Ending all the fights.
Never cheats nor lies.
Doing everything they can for YOU.
