I was never popular,
I was never part of the in crowd,
Always so quiet,
I was never cool, bold or loud.

I was never outgoing,
I was never accepted by my peers,
Always a loner,
I was always consumed by my fears.

I was never confident,
I was never a glamour queen,
No fancy dresses,
I was never one who liked to be seen.

I was never talkative,
I was never one to say too much,
No party girl,
I was one who was always out of touch.

I was never that person,
I was never what you wanted me to be,
I am myself,
And I am special because I am me!
