I lost a friend who had Parkinson's disease and also terminated a relationship I had due to my PD.
Today Parkinsons took two friends, One was taken from this earth. The other God gave me, To teach me what life is worth. The first left many sad, And none were happy. The second left me sad, And feeling very crappie. For the first one's kindred, Will never again see his pain. But my loved one never, Will never witness my pain. Their loss will never be forgotten, As their loss is forever. Mine will soon go away, Her loss is unknown however. For God has a purpose, In all that he does, We have to accept it, Because that is the way it was. I'm happy that she won't, Have to experience the pain. It would have only been mine, The benefits to gain. I'll love her forever, That won't ever change. But it would've been so empty, With nothing to exchange. Good luck my love, I only can hope. That her horizons, Were broadened in scope. For life is meant, For pleasure to give. And I hope I've given, Her a better life to live I'd like to say, I'll always be there. But I know the sorrow, She'd experience everywhere. So I'll let her go, Before the pains begin. For now only pleasant memories, In her mind remain. |
