“ They and We” Tina ‘06
Do not turn away
Looking. At least a bit
How we match equally
In our differences.
How we mirror one another
In our common
Journey to fit in
While we cross paths.
How black and white
The Action, reaction
How much gray is made
From they and we
Passing one another
Quickly.
Do not turn away
Seeing at least once
How different you are
From the black, white,
And the gray.
In one flashing Moment
A shooting rocket
Of color spraying
Brilliant in the being.
---------------------------------

FUGITIVE Tina ‘06
Brightly glistening icicles hung downward,
Bound to permafrosted weathered fingers,
Soon to cry themselves into deep wonder.
Still abandoned, absence grows agitations.
Blizzard flakes, his windblown regrets, weight heavy.
In a corner sitting upright he thinks !
Lost to the reasons of past winter whys.
Holiday lights failed to charm her to return.
Whistling winds went unanswered, howled so.
Finally standing, he bursts off searching blindly.
Forever time it shall be finding her!
Now gone, icy tears of wonder, fall steady,
onto her from above . She returns joyful…
And promptly vibrantly, she redecorates!

SEASON SONNET Tina ‘06
Embrace me, as the rush begins to flow,
over taking winter’s lonely emptiness.
Calling the rested flowers from their beds…
throats of masses singing passions.
Bosom heavy magnificent replenish.
Heated breath beckons with her every summons.
Silky satin, rainbows, her bows, on the ground,
She’s a master of ballets, a mover, a shaker!
Devine resplendent visions , painting earthly canvas.
Spring is building up , to burst , to over flow,
splashing majestic brilliance to behold.
Mother nature screams to every entity…
“Hold me with welcoming open arms, now
Embrace me as the rush begins to flow!”
---------------------------------------------
Me to You
Beneath The Music
Is the rhythm
An electronic prism.
Beneath the music
Is the soul beating
My fears retreating.
Beneath the music
Answer to my wonder
Booming loud as thunder.
Beneath the music is
You you you
Me me me.
Beneath the music
Peacefully
Free free free.

I see you
In reaching waves too
Sea me back

POWER
Giving shines brightly
Despite the cold winteries
From your warm smiles

SLAM
Moshing on the spot
Motion in the lines and curves
Out loud poetry

GRIN
Trapped in laughter,
Pinching fingertips,
A photo of Us.

NATURAL ORDER
Moving hands,
Such loyal servants,
Father time.

WINGS
Lone steadfast boulder
Showcases a feathered friend

H I Tina '05

I see that sign, it’s like a clue.
Times like this are “Scooby doo”.
Is it secretly sent for only me?
Because I’m always praying to see?
Another sign from you know who,
That guides me to the safe and true.
There’s the sun reaching down,
Comfort warming up home ground
SHE Hawk posted atop this tree
Carrying thoughts for ALMIGHTY
Gratitude Grateful, over dose
HEAVEN’S singing YOU’RE so close!
Accept it’s given, never to misuse.
Allow me not to disrespect or abuse.
Thank you for this precious sight.
I’ ll keep it safe with soul and might.
------------------------------------------------------
WHERE WILL I LIVE WHEN I GET BACK HOME? Tina -05

Where will I live when I’m back home by the sea?

What stands awaiting my soul inquires pure uncertainty

I know where, it will be in the past for me

I’ll dwell in spaces of my precious memory

In the here and now swimming in history

Where will I reside on this return arrival?

Here, there, go with gut towards survival

Knowledge inside called to serve having a revival.

Actions, emotions thoughts displayed in clear large vial.

Live wrapped inside blankets of old, in hope facing the denial

Kim Tina 07 You Rock KIM!!!!!
I never really met her
Not in person, face to face
Spoken conversation never
Just a short scramble
Of words jotted in place
Now and then, there and here
2 days before the end of the year
A tiny bit longer to get threw
The greatest doc she ever knew
AMEN on that I say…
She’ll never hear she’s to far away.
2 days before the end of the year…
May endless good fortune shine,
Heavy on this brave courageous dear!
Nope I never really met her,
But we both are hunting down a cure.
Or a secret remedy to pass on
To the many who sadly struggle along.
---------------------------------------------
MUSE
Trying to walk
A narrow line
With determination
That transcends all time
Pushing pen to paper
Weaving a quilt of ink
Simple line
Expressing all that I think
Thoughts of peace and love
War and hate
An endless chase
That shall never abate
Besieging thought with
My weapon of choice
A pen my actions
My words my voice
And if someday
I should leave this place
I hope you will remember
Not my face
But my expression
Of all that is true
Of me, my thoughts
Of the world, of you
Because not all is reveled
In exterior alone
So much can be seen
Once the surface is gone
So live and breathe
Hope and dream
And view all things
Yet to be seen.

The meaning of life poetry challenge Tina 05
ME
Love to them, love from me.
Have compassion peace patience.
Accepting that every and
All things are different. Ugly
With beautiful in all things.
Space allowing open mind.
Contributing some small way.
Helping make it, passing time.
Creative pretending mind,
Struggle, suffer, preserve.
Death decaying into new.
Seeds from me seeds of you.
A gumbo of emotions,
I must control and master.
Ghost rider traveling on.
Half of us laughing out
While half of us cry red tears.
The meaning of life for me?
Witness at different angles
Recreate on paper.
The movies from my mind,
With poetry as my gift.
Knowing death is just a breath
Away waiting for my soul.

Burntmarshmallow, I'd like to address your concern regarding number of times read and responses as well.

I wouldn't go too much about how many have shown to read a post. Visitors have probably read...they can't respond. Members may have read a few time before responding due to life interference, etc. Also, outside sources read or track in forums that aren't even human so there's no response there. Another reason is is that mods and admins read new posts and there are several of us...not all responding. If you'll look at alot of threads, you'll see the read number MUCH higher than the actual responses.

I know when we're feeling bad, particularly anxious for responses, etc. it can feel bad to see that number then little or no response, but please know that alot of that amount are from sources that can't respond for a variety of reasons.

Another aspect to look at in regards to this is that not everyone who reads (and actually can respond) might be able to in the moment...they're pulled away from the computer, they're not feeling well, they're in pain, etc.

I think it feels much better to concentrate, then reply to the responses...which you have some kind ones. Your poetry is wonderful. Thank you for posting it.

Be safe and I hope this helps,

KD

The D.J plays Snap shots Tina ‘05 prose poem challenge

Mom brought out the family picture albums.
See threw pages of different pasts smooshed together
Like peanut butter and jelly layered between peeling
Cardboard slices of old green bread.
Me wrapped in a yellow sundress giving…
A two handed Peace sign to the camera.
’69 / ’70… Date faded some. Me hugging four
Faded some matching the date like a mirror image.
PEACE
Scout searching seeking signs
Notes launching takeoffs in a fingers snap of time.
Flying atop
A royal pack of BEATLES, past The fool on the hill.
To a magical mystery tour. Twas a righteous Long
And winding road As that guitar gently weeped.
Spinning twirling whirling
Records on a thin merry-go-round
easy as pie Lucy in the sky
Powerful rockets, musical mental escapes
from brotherly abuse.
TO ME transmit transform teleport
Light as a feather large as life quiet as a mouse
RUSH RUSHING RUSHED
For a very long time. Barefoot girl
Sitting in a tree, fingers in a peace sign
Climbing towards the. ’75 tis I almost catching ten.
RUSH HUSH GUSH like a Permante wave washing
Swallowing secrets, shames sunken crates settled
underneath ocean floors. Neil… kneeling to drum MASTER
Hammering healing holy hope holding hands hanging on
GOTTA BELIVE
Another look, in a box not a book
Last of kid ship before the time slip
Me posed with both hands… F-YOU
Those birds couldn’t fly but I sure do
Smile my then as big as the sky
‘81 wave washing me like driftwood
Half in half out surfing the wakes to other shorelines
Coasting draft on notes past dads death
babysitting rape shapes.
Exit Stage Left, to Fly By Night, Tom Sawyer
Threw Subdivisions in Mystic Rhythm, Closer To The Heart.
Roll The Bones and then Presto …Vapor Trail With the wind gone are we, smoke circles like sail
RUSH GUSH HUSH
Like a permante wave MUSIC my escape
Transmit transform teleport tiny T to another Me
Smashing pumpkins splashing nirvanas in my ears
Threw vigorous scrubbings of another mother’s mess
The D.J.plays snap shots hit me with a semi
Pan caked pride-tasting send songs hang fly
Losses are gain less is more… more or less
For them
Use me
Remote- controlling
Rock-n-rolling
Peacemaker hand- shaker
Order in the court trial by jury
Just crawl a mile for a smile
Gotta Believe.

STREET THEATHER Tina “05

Never ending picture shows .

Virtual time , capture pose .

Flies buzzing among the decay.

Pets on the lose , running astray.

Move in closer camera two

Close up shot for all of you

Sunflower warped , fragrant bouquet

Dusting of gold on scales to weigh .

Sky , sidewalk , change the scenes .

Different views… many screens !

Toys of amusements , big display .

Meat , to touch , to taste and love away.

Broadway shows , roles on stage

Rainbow words … overload page .

Color of blue washing off gray .

Bold little goose leading the way.

Cameras eye focusing YOU …

Moving on panning through.

Tiny vibrations, feelings sway .

Attentions caught which one today ?????
-----------------------------------------------------------

Grandmother Tina 1991

Show no disrespect to the ocean; treat her dear.

Its Bodies holding all of histories future so near.

All of life she gave from so deep within.

To reap her and to rape her is more then just a sin

Treat her gently for frail now, she is old

Tread oh so lightly respect and behold

NO! Grand Ocean, man should not be so rude and coarse

Upon you their faults and themselves they do force

I can hear your secrets whispering, I can hear you cry…

You can see me looking and you can hear my bottomless sigh.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
SUNNY DAYS Tina 05
A peace of sunshine
floating my kitchen,
washing dishes on a rainy morning . . .
wanting to play outside ,
to do a wagon ride . . .
“ not today,
it’s inside play”
I sadly say . . .
trading gloves
for a towel,
sunbeam
giggles
laughing
a tiny tug
from behind
turning eyes to find . . .
gloves on toddler feet ,
proclaiming
she’s a yellow duck…
that loves the rain splashing…
if a storm comes
fly away
can we now go outside
to play
duck time over dishes
any day!
------------------------------------------------------------------
Nineteen 86

January a month
for nightly sights
of Halley’s comet
a fine tipped paintbrush
of moving color
lighting the dark
of space. . .
the final frontier
lift off of challenger
ghostly trails loiter
their last bit of
essence hung
equaling disbelief
many clung to
long after
smoke erased
Jan. 28th nineteen 86

----------------------------
Meeting
Eyes could not flinch right or left
Nor close, locked in a frozen stare
Straight up into the long tube lights blinking
She could not move any part of herself
Rendered into deep paralyzing sleep
Yet still wide-awake mind racing
Her voice betrayed her plea for a whimper
Slow long breaths in rhythm, control that
Its all you’ve got that and hearing
Of another breathing very nearby
Move a finger try try try try
Mind screams to will movement
Failing repeated requests
She rose above from off the ground
And saw herself as she looked down
Half of her crashed into half of her
Knocking over all of her
She found her voice and screamed
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Echo of your visit… CHRISTOS GATE

Punctual scared untyings,

Set the freedom of many,

Thin ribbon like fingers.

Caressing her frosty breath,

Provoking interest temps,

Natures answer back.

Catching the fabric,

Snapping statements drift.

Bright symbolic warmth,

In grips of brittle winter,

An exclamation point of hope…

Appears a victorious tangerine glow.

Fogs of pain Tina 2000
Cold numb lip,
Swimming fire in my face
Stabbing zapped
Saw searing electrical jolts
Invisible monster pain,
Habitually in place
Assuming control with lighting bolts
Paralyzing crippled over take domain
None of the drugs help one bit for this pain
A cloudy dope, mask me over again
Be friend the pain get in close
New pet to walk and much to learn
No! No more meds and drugs I yearn
You prescribe and insist refills
For lawyers docs and courts, money spills
I scream, I insist to be strong
While you force me to be weak
The joke on you, when the truths I seek
Fall into vision my mind is clear
Please let me out,
This cage is not for me
My guide almighty above
Demands you set me free
------------------------------

SIMPLICITY Tina 199 ??
Some of me , to ALL of you .

A sail of words billow threw,

I dash above to conceive.

Float then soar, mastering drift.

Surrender me… coaxing lift.

Those grounded may not perceive.

Angles waiting eagerly.

Light wings unveiled willingly.

Give open slow to receive.

Rhythmic riffs dispensary.

Stimulate high sensory,

Energies rise to achieve.

When spirits reach , touching light.

Flocks of angels take to flight.

Giving visions I retrieve.
------------------------------------------
Mess monster Tina 06

I have yet to meet the critter
Getting in the fridge-a- rator
It must have six arms maybe more
By the track marks left on the door
Twenty feet of different sizes
Odd and rare a monster this is
Cleverly quiet I must say
It always seems to get away
I catch the mess its left behind
It must assume that I am blind
Or maybe that I like the mess
Enjoy the cleaning to excess
I haven’t seen but I do think
Five heads that are purplish pink
Probly has a tail with an eye
Wings too I guess ‘cus it does fly
Room to room left in disarray
Junk scattered out not put away
Soon I hope it makes a debut
Ill bring it in… give it to you.

P.S. NO GIVE BACKS!
----------------------------------------------------------------
SANDMAN Tina'05
The midnight indigo royal,

Sparkles a sequined coat.

Alluring me from earthly soil

To scamper on board the boat

Sailing in the night time sky

In the shadow behind Suns back!
----------------------------------------------------------

Smile
Cleansed by waterfall refreshment, she wears her grin.
A rainbow appears thick and bright, touching my heart and the sky.
Thy grandiose arch bridging this world to eternity.

DID SHE
When she came upon
The righteous garden,
Choice pickings of all
Was offered her.
SHE would choose
The Finest of perfection
Enjoying it so thoroughly.
Then so full of truths,
Dripping from her lips
Continue on the path
All knowing Man .
Continue on the path
As quiet as she can.
