Help Any suggestions please?

I have a spinal fluid leak somewhere and the source can not be found. My dr. referred me to the Mayo Clinic to see a specialist. It's been a month and my chart is still being "reviewed". Apparently, you don't just get an appointment at the Mayo Clinic; there is a review by the dr's. If the doctors feel they can do something for you, they will make an appoinment for you.

I am ready to travel anywhere to get help. So, while I wait, does anybody have any other doctors they can suggest. I have had a leak since 2001. I am ready to get back to my life.

A family member of mine has been suffering for a long time with a spinal fluid leak. He has had over 15 surgeries in the past five years with little success. I believe he has had a blood patch before that didnt work. He has been to a lot of different dr'sand is getting very discouraged and says he feels like giving up. He is currently at high risk for contracting meningitis, and fears for his life as do I. Just this weekend he will have drove over 800 miles just to have a University Medical center tell him that he is in the wrong place. It's like they just want to pass him off to other doctors when they realize they cannot fix him after several surgeries. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Or maybe someone else out there has had similar problems and has found a great dr. He was referred to mayo clinic by a local dr and was sent a letter stating his needs could be best sErved by Drs in our area. Very frustrating to say the least. I know he just wants his life back too.
