Default Advice on possible CSF leak?

I've been back & forth with 5 different doctors over the past 6 years and still have no diagnosis for what's wrong with my head. Chronic sinusitis, chronic migraines, chronic tension headaches, etc..... Nothing definitive. While reading up on some of my recent symptoms I came across a wiki article on Cerebrospinal Fluid Leaks, something none of the doctors have ever mentioned to me.

I don't remember the last time I went a day without a headache. An hour or two, sure, but not a day. They call my headaches by common names (migraine, tension, cluster) but there is nothing common about them, and they do not respond to any medication I have ever tried (and I've pretty much tried them all). The only relief I've found is by laying facedown; some of them will ease when I do. I have random fluid drainage through my nose. It's not regular sinus drainage (it's almost clear with a slight brown tint and is not sticky at all), and until recently it's always been from the right side only, roughly 2 times a month. The past 4 days (since a fall & mild hit to the head at work) I've been having it from the left nostril 5 to 6 times a day. I have numbness & tingling in my fingers & toes almost daily (previously explained by docs as result of oxygen deprivation from sleep apnea, but my apnea is controlled on CPAP), constant ringing in my ears, and am prone to sinus infections due to blockage of sinus passages. I'm dizzy 24/7, have a serious problem with nausea..... Not sure what else to add in....

Anyway, after reading up on CSF I'm pretty convinced about this. Does anyone know of a good doctor for this in Georgia?

Have you ever had an MRI of the head & upper c spine?

You might also post in our TBI/PCS forum due to the head hit.. and increased symptoms..

I've had most of the same symptoms only without the discoloration. I did have an allergist immediately suggest CSF leakage. He gave me a spray to use with the understanding if it did not help then he wanted to proceed to an MRI + x-rays of my sinus. All allergies were ruled out. He also gave me a specimen cup to catch any fluid as he said a simple test could immediately tell him if it was CSF. He said something about sugar content in the CSF that was not found in normal nasal fluid. I don't have ringing in my ears but I have incredible ear pressure even though my ear drums appear very healthy. Don't give up on finding a doctor that will listen to you, keep trying until you get answers.
